Qualifying for Home Health
To receive home health services covered fully by Medicare, certain requirements must be met:
- A medical need for skilled nursing or therapy services must be present.
- You must meet Medicare’s definition of homebound, meaning leaving home requires assistance from another person or the use of an assistive device.
- Temporary homebound status due to illness or injury is also recognized.
- A doctor must provide written orders authorizing home health services.
Upon request from you or referral from your physician, we will coordinate directly with your doctor. Emperor Health Care Services can provide home health services both in assisted living facilities and in private residences.
